How do I restore my Premium purchase?
If you've previously purchased Premium and need to restore it (for example, after reinstalling the app or switching devices):
- Open The Guide for AC:NH
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Tap "Restore Purchases"
- Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted
Your Premium status will be restored automatically if found.
Why am I seeing the wrong availability for fish/bugs?
Availability is based on your selected hemisphere and current device time. To fix this:
- Open Settings in the app
- Verify your hemisphere is set correctly (Northern or Southern)
- Make sure your device's date and time are set correctly
Does the app work offline?
Yes! All creature, fossil, villager, and item data is stored locally on your device. You can look up anything without an internet connection. The only features that require internet are:
- Displaying advertisements (free version)
- Restoring purchases
How do I track my museum collection?
When viewing any creature or fossil, tap the checkmark icon to mark it as donated to your museum. Your donation status is saved locally and synced across all lists in the app.
What's included in Premium?
Premium is a one-time purchase that includes:
- Ad-free experience throughout the app
- Support for future development
All core features (lookups, tracking, search) are available for free.
Is my collection data backed up?
Your collection data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your device, your app data will be included in your device backups. However, there is currently no cloud sync feature for collection data between devices.
The app is crashing. What should I do?
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Force close the app and reopen it
- Restart your device
- Make sure you're running the latest version from the App Store
- If the problem persists, contact us with details about when the crash occurs
How do I request a refund?
All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund:
- Visit reportaproblem.apple.com
- Sign in with your Apple ID
- Find your The Guide for AC:NH purchase
- Select "Request a refund"
